Todd Shearer brings over two decades of expertise in the motion control industry, having joined Galil Motion Control in 1997. His extensive background in Mechanical Engineering, combined with his proficiency in Electrical, Software, and Control Engineering, has positioned him as an expert in system integration, motion design, and technical sales. Todd’s technical prowess has enabled him to work on a variety of complex applications, including precision robotics and automation systems across industries such as medical, packaging, and manufacturing. As a co-founder of Caliper Controls, Todd has played a critical role in the company’s rapid growth, focusing on building strong customer relationships and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Andy Herum
Automation Engineer
Andy Herum has been a key player in the motion control field since he joined Galil Motion Control in 2005. With a degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Andy’s expertise spans Electrical, Software, and Controls Engineering, giving him a well-rounded skill set for tackling complex automation challenges. Initially serving as an Application Engineer for eight years, Andy gained invaluable insights into the motion control industry and the critical elements required for application success. In 2013, he transitioned to the role of Quality Manager, where he oversaw Galil’s ISO 13485 certification and managed production equipment, staff, and daily operations. His leadership during this period was marked by successful navigation of ISO 9001 and 13485 audits, increased production throughput, and enhanced product quality. Andy’s strong debugging skills and application knowledge have been crucial in advancing both product quality and operational efficiency.
